日月潭「金盆阿嬤茶葉蛋」使用在地阿薩姆紅茶與香菇熬煮到出味再上市，已成為遊客必吃的日月潭小吃，對虎頭埤風景區說茶葉蛋的滷包是「參考」阿婆茶葉蛋，第二代的詹元宏說，樂見有人賣茶葉蛋翻身。
